Chain Reaction Foundation is the principal partner working with Volunteering Australia to conduct the 23^rd International Association for Volunteer Effort World Volunteer Conference on the Gold Coast.

Governor General, Sir Peter Cosgrove will be guest of honour at the Gala Opening Dinner.

Margaret Bell, President, Chain Reaction and Patron, Volunteering Australia together with Dorothy Harding, Board Director, Chain Reaction working round the clock to bring a wonderful event to the world stage. Over 1,000 delegates from more than 70 countries are expected to attend.

Conference theme:

"VOLUNTEERING TODAY'S IMPERATIVE"

Amongst the delegates will be parliamentarians, public servants, corporations involved in employee volunteering and corporate and social responsibility, leaders from volunteering involving organisations and volunteers.
