Chain Reaction Foundation at 2025 The Sydney Morning Herald Schools Summit

Chain Reaction Foundation was proud to exhibit at The Sydney Morning Herald Schools Summit at the International Convention Centre Sydney (ICC Sydney). Our team - Rumbi Mabambe (Executive Director), Cassandra Jackson (LGIS Coordinator), and Rebecca Micallef MFIA (nee Grant) (Fundraising and Marketing Manager) - joined educators, policymakers, and industry leaders to discuss the challenges and opportunities shaping Australia’s education system.
A key focus of the summit was improving student engagement, supporting teacher wellbeing, and addressing educational inequality - critical themes that align with our work at Learning Ground, Chain Reaction Foundation’s evidence-based wellbeing and behavioral change program. For nearly 20 years, Learning Ground has helped young people reconnect with education, improve their wellbeing, and create positive pathways for the future.
It was inspiring to hear from thought leaders and changemakers including; The Hon. Prue Car MP, Murat Dizdar PSM, NSW Department of Education, Leanne Brooke, Professor Michele Bruniges, Doug Taylor, and so many more, who share our commitment to creating inclusive, student-centered learning environments.
Thank you to SMH Events for hosting such an important conversation. We’re excited to apply these insights as we continue empowering young people to thrive, and place wellbeing at the heart of learning
