Red Letter Day for Volunteering Australia and Chain Reaction Foundation

March 27 was a red letter day for Volunteering Australia and Chain Reaction Foundation with the announcement of the International Association for Volunteer Effort's 23rd biennial World Conference to be held on the Gold Coast in Queensland 17 – 20 September 2014.

Conference organisers expect to welcome 2,000 delegates from over 70 countries. All will be corporate, community, government or academic leaders who want to advance their understanding of social inclusion, local communities taking care of their own communities, and volunteering from a global perspective.

The World Conference will be preceded by the IAVE World Youth Conference 15 – 17 September when over 600 young leaders from around the world will meet to advance their training and understanding of building communities in a digital age.

Volunteering Australia will host this ground breaking event and Margaret Bell President of Chain Reaction Foundation and Patron of Volunteering Australia will Chair the Conference Organising Committee. Dorothy Harding a Director of Chain Reaction Foundation has been made the Project Manager.

Conference Partners include Chain Reaction Foundation, The National Congress of Australia's First People, Philanthropy Australia Volunteering Queensland and The Foundation for Young Australians.
