Is a unique place for young people and their families to make strong learning experiences effecting behavioural change. Built on the principles of each one - teach one where people feel safe and welcome.
Learning Ground operates on a school year timetable and is offered particularly to those experiencing difficulties in school retention. Learning is based on Aboriginal traditional and contemporary knowledge and successfully offered to non-indigenous, indigenous and linguistically diverse communities. Volunteer mentors work one on one with families.

ADOLESCENT PROGRAM – FOR PARTICIPANTS 12 – 17 YEARS
Adolescent Program is offered throughout the school term every Monday 9.30am – 2.30pm
A behavioural change management program available to high school age boys and girls.
Suitable for those keen to learn skills to get back on track, or for those who may be experiencing school retention issues or bullying, feeling sad because of a recent loss, being quite shy, or showing they are troubled by being anxious or angry.
- The program offers personal development and motivational encouragement
- New communication and conflict resolution skills
- Anger management
- Handling criticism, bullying, and social media
- Examining prevention of domestic violence
- Managing personal expectations, needs, and wants

YOUNG PEOPLE'S PROGRAM – FOR PARTICIPANTS 10 – 12 YEARS
Young People's Program is offered throughout the school term every Wednesday 10.00am – 2.00pm
A behavioural change management program available to older Primary School age participants and Year 7 students. Especially suitable for those who may struggle with early high school experiences. For those experiencing:
- feeling fearful of growing up
- uncertain about achieving results
- finding it hard to adjust changing circumstances at home
- going through the loss of a family, friend, or pet
- becoming an angry young person
- bullying others or being afraid of being bullied
- being lonely, reluctant, or refusing to go to school
- not looking forward to being a high school student
- if talking up is becoming increasingly difficult
- having some difficulties in telling the truth

FRIDAY NIGHT FUN – FOR PARTICIPANTS 12 – 15 YEARS
DURING SCHOOL TERM - For Learning Ground participants and their friends – 6.00pm – 8.00pm BBQ provided.
Offering activities changing every month, this school term film and photography workshop (4 weeks), followed by Music workshop (4 weeks).

ENABLERS LEADERSHIP PROGRAM
Is offered four times per year at Mount Druitt Learning Ground in blocks of 5 week sessions, each session consisting of 4 hours. A light meal is provided.
It is a program for men and women who would like to take stronger leadership roles in their families, at work, within local community, church groups, or other areas of engagement.
No formal education is required, only the desire to have greater success in life. The program addresses skills in understanding ones self and developing good listening, communication, leadership and decision making techniques for building a social cohesive safe and engaged environment.

FAMILY LIFE SKILLS PROGRAM
Chain Reaction Foundation, in collaboration with The Parent Practice offers a unique program for parents, grandparents and child carers.
It is offered 4 times per year in blocks of 5 week sessions, each session consisting of approx. 3 hours. It is designed to be of great benefit to real parents and real kids. Morning tea and lunch will be provided.
The program is offered out of Mount Druitt Learning Ground, Bidwill NSW 2770
It covers five areas of interest to family members;
- Encouraging co-operation and confidence in children
- Managing emotions and improving communication especially in considering technology issues,
- Setting up for success within the family
- Rules, routines and rewards for tweens and teens
- Positive Discipline now and for the future
- Paying respect to cultural values
