Chain Reaction Foundation (CRF) is a civil society organisation and a not-for-profit public company limited by guarantee governed by a Board of Directors with a small highly trained operating staff.
A catalyst for changeAt CRF we work chiefly to support young teenagers and their families to build strong social cohesion and personal wellbeing within family groups, school communities and the wider civil society. We conduct our work in a stand-alone centre at Mt Druitt in western Sydney and in schools in western and south-western Sydney and beyond in NSW. CRF programs can be replicated in school environments across Australia. Working as a catalyst for change, we focus on the development of wellbeing programs. These programs address strong personal needs for teenagers and their families in relation to growing in self-esteem, developing a sense of belonging and addressing anxiety, mental health, depression and lack of connection. The Foundation draws on the latest psycho-educational methodology and on First Nations connectivity with cultures, family and community. |
CRF builds alliances across partnership organisations, always striving to strengthen them and their communities in the understanding and practice of social cohesion. We strive to build "new rooms" for public life, always encouraging citizen participation and leadership. We are supported in our work through funding from philanthropists and trusts, government departments, business and academe. We currently receive financial support from the following organisations:
CRF acknowledges and recognises the traditional owners of the land on which we live and work and we pay our respects to the Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Elders both past, present and emerging. |
