Chain Reaction Foundation (CRF) is a civil society organisation and a not-for-profit public company limited by guarantee governed by a Board of Directors with a small highly trained operating staff.
The program is based on a methodology developed and delivered in Mt Druitt, New South Wales since 2006. Learning Ground was developed and established through a participatory process with local community leaders, Aboriginal and non-Aboriginal to meet the needs of young people in the Mt Druitt area who were experiencing behavioural difficulties that led to them being disenfranchised from school and from community. Since inception, Learning Ground has continued to evolve through a participatory process. In 2016, Learning Ground Program was researched and evaluated by Western Sydney University who identified Learning Ground as a program that fosters capacity building and development of social and emotional competencies.
