IAVE team visit Seoul, South Korea

by | July 9, 2013

The IAVE team is off again, this time to Seoul, South Korea. Margaret Bell and fellow Director of Chain Reaction Foundation, Dorothy Harding will be in Korea 9 - 14 July, meeting with Korean government officials discussing policies and practises that encourage or preclude social cohesion through volunteer effort.

The government will be encouraged to participate fully in the International World Volunteer Conference next year as Korea is a very strong volunteering country. There will be much for volunteer involving organisations to gain and to give in value to the international meeting.

The team will also visit the Volunteer Centre of Seoul which will have much to share about what is happening in the volunteer movement throughout the country. Later they will attend and speak at a National Conference on Volunteering in Chenjou, one of the outlying provinces of Seoul.
