Mt Druitt Learning Ground recognised as exceptional project in a not for profit at the ZEST awards

Mt Druitt Learning Ground, a community-led initiative, has been recognised as an exceptional project in a not-for-profit organisation at the 2022 ZEST award. The ZEST awards recognise the outstanding achievements and contributions of individuals and organisations within the Western Sydney community.

Mt Druitt Learning Ground was established in 2004 to provide a safe and supportive learning environment for young people who have disengaged from mainstream education. The initiative was founded the Chain Reaction Foundation who were concerned about the high levels of youth unemployment and social disadvantage in the Mt Druitt area.

Learning Ground provides wellbeing and behavioural change programs to help young people develop the confidence and resilience needed to succeed in their studies and in life.

We are thrilled to receive this recognition from the ZEST awards. Our initiative is driven by a commitment to creating opportunities for young people in our community.
